So the first Happy of the day is from Sunday, 27 February. I worked most of the day, which was alright because I got to sleep in (woo!) as I didn't have to go into work until 1.30. Closed at work, which included a lot of note taking, and then, after collecting a good amount of laundry, I set off for the bustling metropolis of Brazoria, Texas. For those of you who have no clue what or where that is, let me tell you, you're not missing much. ...really.
There are a few good things about Brazoria, however.
The town contains my parents.
[Not my Grandma, though, :( ]

I don't claim to always get along with these people, but really, we're have a pretty good relationship. A better relationship than a) I would have thought in my rebellious stupid teenage years, b) a lot of people my age have with their parents, and c) some people would have expected us to have.
They're epic, obviously.
I got to the house pretty late, but they were both up, waiting for me. Homemade boudin and an amazing dinner of "rice and gravy" or "pull apart meat". ...It's really only Pot Roast with potatoes and carrots, but when you've been away from home and you have a schedule that's so busy that dinners tend to be microwaved, packaged, or picked up from a window, it's amazing. And my mother's cooking is ridiculous, so even though I'd eaten a sandwich at work, I scarfed down a bowl so fast that I had to sit in a lazy boy and watch the oscars with her >.> yeah... that's the reason.
It had absolutely nothing to do with Jude law being on the screen when I walked into the room...
Mom went to bed soon after, and I stayed up doing laundry and just... being. Being in the house that I'd grown up in, petting the cats outside, sitting in my dad's chair... just being.
And just being happy.
Take care, kids, and find your happy. <3
